Dating in 2024 is exhausting. Between endless swipes and failed first dates, finding a potential match has become an Olympic sport. Until now.

From Dusk is the brain child of Core Events. Our aim is to create unique and personalized opportunities to enable people to connect, creating core memories for folks within the National Capital Region.

A SAFE COZY & SPACE TO DATE WITHOUT JUDGEMENT

While flash dating activities like YouTube’s “Pop The Balloon” trend have become popular within the black community, they remove the feeling of intimacy and safety and further perpetuate negative stereotypes we want to walk away from.

TO SHIFT THE NARRATIVE (AND STATISTICS, TOO!)

Overall, data shows that men rated black women as less attractive than women of other races and ethnicities. Whereas women overall have rated asian men as the least attractive. We want to shift this narrative and ensure that everyone is in a space where they feel desired.
